Arne Næss has died at the age of 96. He was the last surviving member of the “periphery” of the Vienna Circle.

There is a very nice piece (actually his Presidential Address) by Prof. Kwame Anthony Appiah in Nov. 2008 issue of Proceedings and Addresses of the APA which starts with a review of a curious work by Naess.
